Teenage Student Alexandra Euyoque Empowers Students Through Kids Helping Kids Organization

This year’s Kids Helping Kids (KHK) CEO is Alexandra Euyoque. KHK is an Organization that is run by students for students. Alexandra's job includes being a delegate, and giving overall structure to the organization. Her goal with KHK is to make a difference in the lives of younger students, especially those who are more economically challenged. A big thing that Alexandra does with KHK is tutoring at R.H Dana, which is an underfunded elementary school in Dana Point. While here, Alexandra and her volunteers are able to tutor and build connections with future dolphins. KHK is also a branch, or in other words, committee to our very own ASU (Associated Student Union) at Dana Hills. In an interview, Alexandra stated that, “ you are able to foster a connection with a future dolphin” even if you're not part of the KHK part of ASU. She also emphasized the fact that getting kids excited about what you're excited about, and being able to build connections is something innumerable in value especially at that young age. She then expressed, “It starts at such an early level, that excitement for high school and for life in general starts at that young age”. Being a part of KHK is truly an inspiring notion as we can see that Alexandra's passion is spread all among her community, and the impact she leaves will grow and expand to the kids she works with, and empower them to get excited for their future. You can also often spot Alexandra and other KHk members at certain events, whether they are running them or even just helping. With doing all this, she is able to raise money, especially for the kids at R.H Dana. Alexandra discusses how kids often don't have a sense of mentorship growing up, and she wants “to make a positive impact on these kids' lives in the long term”.
